Damon began his career in the transaction advisory practice of a global public accounting firm, where he conducted financial due diligence on small and middle market companies being acquired by private equity firms.​ He moved into middle market banking where he underwrote commercial loan applications and risk-rated companies based on cash flow strength and operational viability. ​As an attorney, Damon practiced commercial litigation, representing everyone from investors acquiring franchises, middle market business owners in complex contract disputes, to publicly traded corporations and Fortune 50 companies in state and federal court.
